THE COACH

From the Marines to the mat.

Three decades. Two disciplines. One coach.

Where it started

I started in the Royal Marines. That’s where the discipline comes from. Not the shouting. The quiet kind – the sort that gets you up before dawn every morning of your life without needing to be told.

I spent years learning to push my body through things I didn’t think possible. I learned what I could take, what I could give, and what was waiting on the other side of effort. The Marines taught me that the body responds to structure, consistency, and command. Not to pep talks. Not to motivation. To a system that works whether you feel like it or not.

Then I left. And the second chapter began.

The chapters between

After the Marines, I travelled for a while. Then I qualified as a personal trainer in London in 2007 and went to work in the corporate sector – years spent coaching highly stressed bankers and executives through Nuffield Health. That’s where I sharpened the craft. I trained constantly, took every course I could, and built the foundation of how I coach today.

Then I moved to Ibiza. For the last several years there, I ran private one-to-one personal training retreats – clients would come out to me, often exhausted and overstretched, and I’d take them through everything: hikes, training, breathwork, yoga, mobility, mindset, nutrition. The whole picture, one person at a time. The COMMAND Framework didn’t appear from nowhere. It’s the distillation of how I’ve been coaching for the better part of two decades.

The Practice Deepens

I’d been coaching for well over a decade by the time I travelled to India – and I’d always trained the way I do now: movement, mobility, breath and mindset alongside the strength and conditioning. India didn’t change my approach. It deepened it.

I spent five weeks training as a yoga teacher – not the modern studio version, but the older kind, taught in silence, in heat, by people who’d spent their lives understanding breath, movement, and stillness. It refined something I’d been building for years and gave me a deeper understanding of the breathing and the stillness that had always been part of my coaching.

By then I was already running private one-to-one retreats – taking stressed, depleted clients out for hikes, training, breathwork, yoga, mobility, mindset and nutrition. India was one chapter in a long story, not the moment everything began.

The work

Ibiza

For over a decade, I trained high-performers in Ibiza. Founders, CEOs, entertainers. People whose bodies had been sacrificed for careers and who needed someone to rebuild them quietly. No gym. No fanfare. Just results and discretion.

Oxygen Advantage

I'm a qualified Oxygen Advantage instructor – Oxygen Advantage is the gold standard in functional breathing. It gives me the science behind techniques I've used for years. CO₂ tolerance, nasal breathing, nervous system regulation. Specific, measurable, transformative.

The Cotswolds

I've moved the practice home. The Cotswolds is quieter, more private, more landed. The same calibre of client. The same attention to what actually changes people. A new chapter – same standard.

“I coach the whole person, not the body in front of me. Sleep, breath, mindset, movement, nutrition, lifestyle. Seven pillars. One system. No handoffs.”
